SkyBoys Wins “2026 GIS Top 30 Innovation Award” at the Global Innovation Summit in Hong Kong

From August 25 to 27, 2026, the 2nd Global Innovation Show & Global Innovation Summit (GIS) was held at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. SkyBoys (Hangzhou) Technology Co., Ltd. was invited to attend, represented by Founder, Chairman and CTO Xu Xiran, Vice Chairman and CEO Wu Bo, and representatives from the company’s international trade and strategic investment teams.

In recognition of its independent innovation in advanced thermal protection and flame-retardant materials, its manufacturing scale-up capability, and its potential for global market expansion, SkyBoys was named a winner of the 2026 GIS Top 30 Innovation Award — one of the most closely watched recognitions in the Asia-Pacific region for hard-tech companies expanding overseas, given to science and technology enterprises that combine core technical barriers with real potential for global deployment.

Event Highlights

  • Themed “Connect the World, Disrupt the Future,” the 2026 summit brought together global technology companies, investment institutions, and industry resources across artificial intelligence, embodied robotics, new energy, and automotive technology, creating a platform for Chinese innovation to connect with global markets.
  • Throughout the summit, SkyBoys presented its advanced aerogel thermal protection materials and application solutions at its exhibition area, drawing supply chain partners, investors, and industry visitors for in-depth discussions on new energy thermal safety, materials innovation, and industrial applications.

Hard-Core Materials Innovation Behind the Award

The award reflects SkyBoys’ sustained investment in both foundational materials research and industrial-scale production. The company focuses on the R&D and manufacturing of advanced aerogel thermal protection materials for EV battery, energy storage, and high-temperature industrial applications, and has built a complete capability chain covering materials development, production, performance testing, and custom processing — supported by a product matrix that includes waterborne film-forming aerogel felt and nano aerogel fireproof insulation board.

Guided by real-world application needs, SkyBoys continues to move its materials from lab-stage innovation toward productized, engineered solutions that address thermal runaway propagation, confined installation space, and high-temperature exposure with efficient, lightweight thermal protection. Built on its proprietary waterborne aerogel technology, the company’s products achieve UL94-5VA flame-retardant performance, and SkyBoys continues to strengthen its global intellectual property portfolio to support both scaled application and international market expansion with core technology. Connecting Asia’s Innovation Ecosystem, Accelerating Global Expansion

On the morning of August 26, Vice Chairman and CEO Wu Bo was also invited to attend the Asian Sci-Tech Enterprises Going Global Forum and the Founding Assembly of the Asian Sci-Tech Enterprises Going Global Association, joining government, business, technology, and capital-market guests from around the world in Hong Kong to discuss going-global strategy, globalization, and capital enablement for science and technology companies — including Hong Kong’s distinct advantages in connecting international capital, industrial resources, and global markets.

At the forum, Wu Bo was photographed with José María Figueres, former President of Costa Rica and the first CEO of the World Economic Forum, discussing new pathways and opportunities for Asian science and technology companies entering international markets. Hong Kong’s role in this process was a recurring theme of the forum, consistent with the Hong Kong government’s own remarks at GIS 2026 on the city’s ambition to anchor Greater Bay Area innovation and connect it to global capital and industry networks.

Looking ahead, SkyBoys will continue to connect with international innovation resources in Hong Kong, Singapore, and other markets, expanding into new energy, energy storage, and data center applications, and accelerating the integration of its proprietary technology with overseas markets — moving Chinese-originated materials technology from “exporting products” toward “globalizing technology and capability,” and contributing a Chinese solution to thermal protection worldwide.
